Royal Oman Police (ROP) reported that an expatriate was detained in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate for possessing fake money and advertising it by exchanging it for legal tender.
In a statement, ROP stated that the police command of the South Sharqiyah Governorate detained an Indian citizen for having fake currency and advertising it by exchanging it for legitimate money. The instruments employed in the fraudulent acts were also confiscated. The necessary judicial processes are being carried out.
