Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT), in partnership with the Oman Across Ages Museum located in Wilayat of Manah, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, is set to host a distinguished exhibition titled ‘Cultural Treasures from Museums and Private Heritage Houses.’
This exhibition is scheduled to take place from August 26th to September 25th.
The primary objective of this exhibition is to foster promotional opportunities for both museums and private heritage houses, thereby highlighting their contributions and enhancing awareness within the local community regarding the significance of these institutions in the preservation of national heritage. Furthermore, it aims to educate future generations about the cultural and national identity of the Sultanate of Oman.
This exhibition is of paramount importance in both cultural and economic spheres, serving as platforms for learning, research, and innovation.
The Ministry has revealed that the exhibition will showcase eleven licensed museums from various governorates within the Sultanate of Oman, including the Bait Al Zubair Museum, Bidiya Museum, Bait Al Ghasham Museum, Madha Museum, Gateway of the Past Museum, Nizwa Museum, Sharaf House, Generations Continuity Museum, Bait Adam Museum, Bait Al Minzifa Museum, and the Al Hamra Currency Museum.
Throughout the duration of the exhibition, the public will have the opportunity to view several visual presentations that delve into the operations of museums, private heritage houses, and the management of cultural artifacts.
