Muscat: The Environment Authority is hosting a two-day symposium focused on radiation monitoring in the environment. This event, taking place in Muscat, aims to bolster initiatives aimed at safeguarding human health from radiation risks, promote best practices for tackling the swift evolution of environmental issues, and raise awareness across different sectors of society.
The symposium commenced today under the patronage of Brigadier Eng. Ali Saif Al Muqbali, Chairman of the Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (ACDA). Its goal is to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among experts and specialists, thereby aiding in the formulation of policies and standards related to environmental monitoring and radiation management.
Numerous researchers, specialists, and decision-makers are participating in the symposium.
