Al Dakhiliyah, part of the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, is in the final phase of the Nizwa Entrance Project. This endeavor, spanning over 3,500 meters, has so far cost in excess of OMR 1.680 million.
The construction project includes the development of an entrance road that extends from Firq Bridge to the vicinity of the traffic signals at the Firq Exchange. This initiative, part of a broader scheme for the governorate's development, aims to enhance the landscaping within the Wilayat of Nizwa.
The scope of the project encompasses the creation of walkways, shaded areas, sports facilities, and verdant spaces. Governor Sheikh Hilal bin Said Al Hajri of Al Dakhiliyah announced that the contract for the project has been awarded to a local firm, which began construction in July of the previous year. He emphasized that the completion of the project will not only bolster the economic and tourism sectors but also offer a novel venue for recreational activities.
According to Governor Al Hajri, the project is multifaceted, involving landscaping of approximately 23,000 square meters, planting of 240 shade trees, and the sowing of 1,930 plants. Additionally, it will feature walkways for cyclists, a sports area, parking spaces, a state-of-the-art irrigation system, and a fountain, among other amenities.
