Embassy Of Pakistan Honours Educators In Oman

The Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat, Oman, hosted an event to recognize the teachers, researchers, and university professors of Pakistani and other nationalities who have made significant contributions to education in Oman.

This event marked the second of three planned by the Embassy to celebrate Pakistan National Day 2024.

The ceremony highlighted the dedication and impact of these educators in shaping the minds and futures of students across the nation.

Renowned clinical psychologist Al Sayyida Wafa Bint Hilal Albusaidi was the chief guest, with diplomats, academia representatives, and members of the Pakistani community coming together to honor these individuals.

The recognized educators come from Pakistan, Oman, Iran, and India, having dedicated years to fostering academic excellence in Oman. Their efforts have made a lasting impact on education in Oman, benefiting countless individuals and communities.

These educators have been affiliated with institutions such as Sultan Qaboos University, University of Nizwa, University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Gulf College, Mazoon College, and Pakistan School System. Additionally, engineers and other professionals who have excelled in their fields were also acknowledged and presented with certificates of excellence.

In her address, Al Sayyida Wafa Bint Hilal Albusaidi commended the Embassy of Pakistan for organizing the event and acknowledged the exceptional work being done. Recognizing and celebrating outstanding achievements serves as motivation to strive for even greater success, she noted. She also highlighted the significant impact made by these accomplished individuals in raising educational standards and shaping the future generation of learners in Oman. Imran Ali, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, expressed his sincere appreciation to the educators for their dedication and valuable contributions to the field of education.

He underscored the crucial role of educators in nurturing intellectual development, fostering cultural exchange, and enhancing the strong ties between Pakistan and Oman. He reiterated the Embassy's and the Government of Pakistan's commitment to promoting excellence across all aspects of life.

Al Sayyida Wafa Bint Hilal Albusaidi has a diverse background in addressing issues such as domestic violence, addiction, and mental health. She specializes in anxiety disorders, grief, and trauma-related conditions. Al Sayyida Wafa Albusaidi has worked in various countries and is a passionate advocate for mental health, as well as women's and children's rights in Oman. She currently serves as the psychological advisor for the Children First Association in Oman.
