Khasab: The new Khasab Hospital in Musandam Governorate has reached an overall completion rate of more than 85%. The project is being built on a 100,000squaremeter property, with a builtup area of 36,000 square meters and a total cost of over RO 48 million.
The hospital, which has 164 beds, will improve health care in the governorate.
Eng. Yousef Yaqoob Amboali, Director General of Projects and Engineering Services at the Ministry of Health, said that the new Khasab Hospital in Musandam Governorate is one of the governorate's important developmental health projects and is expected to be finished by the end of this year.
He said that the hospital will have an emergency and accident unit, a radiology department, a nephrology unit, outpatient clinics, a rehabilitation unit, intensive care units (adult, pediatric, and cardiac), a maternity and newborn care department, a day surgery unit, administrative offices, meeting rooms, a central sterilization department, and inpatient wards, as well as general services.
Notably, once functional, the new Khasab Hospital will provide a variety of specialist medical services to satisfy the treatment demands of citizens and residents, reducing the need for trip to other governorates.
