‘Change Your Atmosphere’ Campaign Launched To Promote South Al Batinah Tourism

Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has initiated the "Change Your Atmosphere" promotional campaign to showcase the heritage and tourism offerings of the South Al Batinah Governorate. This campaign aligns with the "Experience South Al Batinah" events, organized by the Office of the Governor of South Al Batinah, which are set to occur from January 8 to 31, 2025, at the pristine shores of "Khubat Al-Qaidan" in the Wilayat of Nakhal.

Raya bint Salem Al-Maskari, Assistant Director of the Tourism Marketing Department at the Ministry, stated that the campaign's objective is to invigorate tourism in South Al Batinah and highlight its rich heritage and diverse attractions. This initiative is anticipated to enhance tourist engagement during the event, providing significant support to stakeholders in the governorate's tourism industry.

The campaign will feature a variety of attractions throughout the governorate's wilayats, including charming villages such as Bilad Sayt in Wadi Bani Awf, Wakan, and Al Alya, as well as natural springs like Ain Al-Kasfa and Ain Al-Thawara. Visitors will also discover breathtaking wadis (valleys) such as Wadi Al-Hawqayn, Wadi Al-Sahtan, and Wadi Bani Kharus. Additionally, the governorate's historical forts and castles, including Al Hazm Fort, Al Khamis Tower and Wall, Rustaq Fort, Nakhal Fort, and Al Awabi Fort, along with the Bait Al Ghasham Museum, will be highlighted. The campaign will also promote the stunning beaches of Al Musannah and Barka, which are favored spots for marine excursions and adventure activities.

To enhance the visibility of the region, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is set to initiate a focused promotional campaign highlighting tourist attractions during the "Experience South Al Batinah" events. In addition, the ministry has collaborated with Mwasalat to display advertisements for South Al Batinah on buses that operate daily routes throughout Muscat Governorate. A promotional video showcasing the governorate will also be aired on eight screens strategically placed across various locations in Muscat. Attendees of the "Experience South Al Batinah" events will have the chance to explore the Geological Heritage Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism at Al Hazm Fort in the Wilayat of Rustaq, which opened on December 30 and features a variety of rare specimens of Omani geological heritage.
