Muscat: The Muscat Municipality has released a statement in response to concerns expressed across various media regarding the suspension and delays in the expansion of the Al-Ghubra Bridge. This initiative is part of the Phase 2 expansion works for Oman Avenues Mall, which is being managed by the project developer.
The Municipality recognized that, like any significant infrastructure project in a city center, various challenges have arisen. These issues have led to a temporary halt in construction to facilitate the exploration of effective solutions. This pause has understandably taken some time, especially since certain elements of the project are being executed outside the Sultanate.
Muscat Municipality assured the public that it is actively collaborating with the developer to evaluate and implement practical alternative solutions. Construction will recommence once a consensus is achieved, prioritizing both structural integrity and traffic safety.
