The remaining support staff will also get Rs 50 lakh each, and BCCI officials will be awarded Rs 25 lakh each."

Following a disappointing finish in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup final, Team India continued its impressive performance in white-ball cricket, securing their second consecutive trophy after the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the CT 2025 final held in Dubai on March 9.

A BCCI press release stated, "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is thrilled to announce a cash reward of INR 58 crore for Team India in recognition of their victory at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial reward honors the players, coaching and support staff, as well as the members of the Men's Selection Committee."

Under the capable leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, India showcased their dominance throughout the tournament, achieving four significant victories leading up to the final. The team kicked off their campaign with a solid six-wicket win against Bangladesh, followed by a convincing six-wicket victory over Pakistan. They maintained their momentum with a 44-run win against New Zealand before ultimately defeating Australia by four wickets in the semi-final.

Roger Binny, President of the BCCI, stated, "Securing consecutive ICC titles is a remarkable achievement, and this award acknowledges Team India's commitment and excellence on the international stage. The cash prize serves as recognition for the extensive efforts made by everyone behind the scenes. This marks our second ICC Trophy in 2025, following the victory in the ICC U19 Women's World Cup, showcasing the robust cricketing framework established in our nation."

Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, remarked, "The BCCI is honored to reward the players and support staff with this well-earned recognition. Their supremacy in world cricket stems from years of dedication and strategic planning. This victory reinforces India's leading position in white-ball cricket, and we are confident that the team will continue to thrive in the future. The players' dedication and commitment have set a new standard, and we believe Indian cricket will keep elevating its status on the global stage."

Rajeev Shukla, Vice-President of the BCCI, commented, "This cash award is a testament to the exceptional performances exhibited by the team throughout the tournament. The players demonstrated remarkable poise under pressure, and their achievements serve as an inspiration to aspiring cricketers nationwide. Once again, the team has shown that Indian cricket is founded on a solid base of skill, mental resilience, and a winning attitude."

Prabhtej Bhatia, Treasurer of the BCCI, expressed, "The BCCI takes great pride in recognizing the dedication and hard work of our players and support staff, and this cash award reflects our commitment to fostering excellence in Indian cricket. We are dedicated to providing the best resources and infrastructure to ensure Indian cricket maintains its dominance on the global stage. This victory further highlights the strength and depth of talent present at all levels."

Rohan Gauns Dessai, the Honorary Joint Secretary of BCCI, stated, "Team India demonstrated remarkable consistency during the tournament, and the final match against New Zealand was truly exceptional. It brought immense joy and celebration to the nation and to Team India supporters worldwide. This achievement highlights the strength of our cricketing framework, and we are committed to further enhancing it to uphold our dominance in international cricket."
