Muscat: The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (ASMED) hosted its sixth dialogue session today aimed at enhancing investments by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the postal sector. The discussion centered on strategies to elevate the involvement of SMEs in the advancement of the postal industry, particularly through the introduction of innovative concepts and the enhancement of operational efficiency.
ASMED is committed to fostering collaboration and partnerships between SMEs and both local and international postal organizations, while also raising awareness of the postal sector's critical role in bolstering the national economy.
The session addressed a range of pertinent topics related to the postal sector, including relevant legislation, auditing processes, quality and safety standards, necessary fees and licenses, as well as incentives, financing, and investment opportunities.
Attendees included Eng. Omar Hamdan Al Ismaili, Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), along with officials from relevant authorities and SME owners.
