Muscat: Abdullah Al Shaksy, the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Phaze Ventures, Oman's inaugural private venture capital firm, received the esteemed Times Entrepreneur of the Year award at the recent Times Business Leadership Summit, which took place at The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat.
Al Shaksy has played a pivotal role in the development of Oman's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Through deliberate investments in early-stage ventures and active participation in board leadership roles, he has provided support to a multitude of emerging founders, both domestically and internationally.
In addition to his investment activities, Al Shaksy has contributed to the ecosystem's enrichment by initiating and backing various startup ventures, establishing scholarship programs focused on technology and entrepreneurship, and mentoring young innovators through his role as a lecturer in entrepreneurship programs.
The award was bestowed upon Al Shaksy by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, during a lavish ceremony that honored leaders who are shaping the business landscape of Oman.
