Young Omani Receives Award For The Best Invention In Shanghai

Engineer Ali bin Salem Al Busaidi was awarded the gold medal and a special award cup at the International Exhibition of Invention and Innovation 2024 in Shanghai, China, for his creation of a paramedic device.

This innovative device is designed to significantly reduce response time to traffic accidents and improve communication with emergency teams in Oman. It automates the process of receiving accurate accident information, minimizes human error in locating accidents, and enhances overall emergency response efficiency.

Incorporating cutting-edge technologies, the device can connect to a network of rescue devices for various emergency scenarios. It allows authorities to swiftly reach accident sites, ensuring timely assistance.

Equipped with smart rescue tools for different emergencies, such as automatic fire extinguishers, advanced first aid kits, drowning rescue devices, and heart rate sensors for sudden attacks, the device also features sound and light signals in vehicles to alert others in case of emergencies. Additionally, it includes a system to automatically open car doors and windows post-accident to facilitate rescue operations and prevent suffocation.

Moreover, the device enables drivers to automatically call and send text messages in emergencies, providing accident location details and vehicle information to emergency services in Oman and the driver's family members.
