The Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with Microsoft, conducted a workshop today on "Boosting Government Units' Efficiency Through Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technologies".
During the workshop, the focus was on the most recent AI technologies and how they can enhance the performance of State Administrative Apparatus employees.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, Sayyid Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, highlighted the significant advancements in technology worldwide that have led to the increased utilization of modern technology.
Al Busaidi emphasized the widespread benefits of modern technology across various sectors, particularly in government, stating that the workshop provides a platform for human resources innovation. He also mentioned that the workshop signifies a step towards leveraging modern technology to align with the substantial progress in digital transformation.
Sheikh Saif Hilal Al Hosni, Country Manager at Microsoft Bahrain and Oman, mentioned that the workshop was organized in response to the growing adoption of modern technology.
Al Hosni outlined two key points of the workshop: "Utilizing the latest AI technical tools from Microsoft for remote work" and "Leveraging virtual personal assistants (Microsoft Azure Cobalt)". He further explained that these tools contribute to increased productivity, time-saving, and enhanced output.
The workshop was attended by undersecretaries and officials from various government departments.
