Muscat: In a historic auction, a Vodafone mobile number, 77777777, has achieved a remarkable sale price of OMR 429,500 in Oman, setting a new record for the highest amount ever paid for a mobile number in the nation.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) revealed that this auction marked the inaugural appearance of the number 77777777. The event featured a selection of 200 premium numbers from Vodafone, which included 171 diamond numbers and 29 gold numbers. All funds raised from the auction will be allocated to charitable initiatives.
