Muscat: In light of the upcoming Muscat Classic stage of the Tour of Oman 2024, the Royal Oman Police has issued a statement regarding a partial traffic closure on Friday, 9 February 2024. As a result, parking of vehicles will be strictly prohibited on both sides of the roads that run alongside the race route.
According to the Royal Oman Police, the race will commence at 11 am from Al Mouj Muscat, heading towards Seeb corniche road and then proceeding to Al Mabela Bridge. At the Al Mabela traffic lights, the race will make a left turn and then a right turn at Al Salam roundabout, eventually joining the Muscat Expressway. From there, the race will take a left turn onto Rusayl-Nizwa road, continuing on Rusayl-Bousher road through Falaj Al Sham, Al Ansab, and Ghala village, until it reaches Al Amerat via Al Jabal road. Subsequently, the cyclists will make a left turn at Al Mahaj junction, heading towards Wadi Adai, followed by a right turn to Al Hamriyah, and then a left turn to Qantab via Yeti Hills.
They will then return to Al Bustan roundabout, making a left turn to Al Hamriyah. The race will once again turn right to Yeti and left to Qantab, followed by a left turn at Al Bustan roundabout to Sadab, and finally concluding in front of the State Council.
