Three Pacts Signed For Railway Network Project Linking Oman And The United Arab Emirates

In Abu Dhabi, three agreements were signed for the railway network project connecting Oman and the UAE. The first agreement is a partnership between shareholders, including Etihad Rail, Oman Rail, and Mubadala, marking the start of the project.

The second agreement involves awarding civil contracts for the joint network to an Omani-Emirati alliance led by "Trojan Construction Group" (NPC) and "Galfar Engineering and Contracting." The third agreement pertains to awarding systems and integration contracts for the railway network to an alliance between Siemens and HAC to ensure the trains are equipped with the latest technology.

Representatives from Oman, including Abdul Salam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, and Dr. Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, attended the signing of the agreements. On the Emirati side, attendees included His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Mohammed bin Hassan Al Suwaidi, and Mohammed bin Hadi Al Husseini, along with officials and representatives from Emirati private sector companies.
