Muscat: The Korean Embassy and the "OK Nuri club" recently organized an iftar event at the Embassy hall on March 19, bringing the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan to life. The "OK Nuri" is a voluntary group of Omani fans of Korean culture, representing the Oman-Korea Nuri, which means light in Arabic.
With the theme of "sharing and caring," both the Korean Embassy and the OK Nuri club co-hosted the iftar, creating a platform for Omani and Korean participants to share their respective cuisines and reflect on the values of compassion, patience, and benevolence that Ramadhan embodies.
During the event, Korean Ambassador Kiejoo Kim emphasized the significance of Ramadhan as a time for self-reflection and collective contribution to the world. He also highlighted the special importance of this year, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Oman. Ambassador Kim expressed his gratitude to the Omani government and people for their dedicated efforts in fostering a strong bilateral partnership that benefits both nations. In commemorating this milestone, he acknowledged the crucial role of Omani friends, including the OK Nuri club, in further advancing the partnership beyond its previous achievements.
