Shreyas Iyer Secures ICC Men's Player Of The Month Award For March 2025

New Delhi: According to an ICC report, Indian batter Shreyas Iyer won the ICC Men's Player of the Month Award for March 2025, defeating New Zealanders Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra.

Iyer finished as India's top run-scorer with 243 runs, contributing greatly to the team's win in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai and Pakistan. Iyer's acquisition of this prize was India's second straight win, with Shubman Gill winning in February.

Iyer was a vital member of India's 2025 Champions Trophy team, playing in the middle of the order. His outstanding strokeplay aided India in the middle overs, and his ability to stabilize the innings while forming significant partnerships was critical in helping his team to victory.

Iyer acknowledged his thanks and honour at being named the ICC Men's Player of the Month for March. He emphasised the award's significance, particularly in light of India's victory in the ICC Champions Trophy earlier this month. He acknowledged his teammates, coaches, and support personnel in helping him succeed.

"I am extremely honored to be chosen the ICC Men's Player of the Month for March. This accolade is quite significant, especially in light of the fact that we won the ICC Champions Trophy earlier this month -- a memory I will cherish for my whole life. Every cricketer hopes of contributing to India's success on such a large scale. "I am grateful to my teammates, coaches, and support staff for their constant support and belief," Shreyas Iyer told ICC.

The 30-year-old scored 172 runs in three matches in March, averaging 57.33 with a respectable strike rate of 77.47, including some excellent innings. Iyer finished the Champions Trophy 2025 as the second-highest run scorer, trailing only Rachin Ravindra by 20 runs.
