Muscat: Seeb Club, the reigning AFC Cup winners, are set to take another big step on their continental journey as they face India's FC Goa in a decisive playoff on Wednesday for a coveted spot in the AFC Champions League group stage.
The match will take place at Goa's Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, starting at 6 p. m. Oman time. A win would make Seeb the first Omani side to advance to the tournament's group stage under its new format.
The Muscat-based team, led by seasoned Romanian coach Valeriu Tița, has been in Goa since Saturday, acclimating to local conditions and fine-tuning their tactical strategy. Tița has emphasized attacking efficiency, encouraging his strikers to seize opportunities and avoid wasteful finishing.
