Osaka: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, will officially open the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, on Sunday. The pavilion is set to host more than 33 events from April 6 to October 13, 2025.
The Omani pavilion, themed "Enduring Ties," draws inspiration from Oman’s rich natural and environmental diversity, showcasing the resilience of Omani society in adapting to its environment. Its design emphasizes three fundamental elements: Land, Water, and People, and is a product of the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design.
Oman's involvement in Expo 2025 Osaka will focus on six primary themes: communication and interaction, tourism, investment opportunities, cultural identity, international relations, and partnerships. These themes are in line with the strategic objectives outlined in Oman Vision 2040.
This event serves as a crucial platform for enhancing cultural and technological exchanges with nations worldwide, highlighting Oman’s civilizational and economic advancements while preserving its rich cultural heritage and history.
Attendees will experience engaging content from various participating organizations through extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The pavilion’s digital platform will feature ten sections, including a visual exhibition, virtual theatre, audiovisual arts gallery, "Made in Oman," "Discover Oman," Omani Tech Companies Hub, Virtual Innovation Centre, SME Exhibition, Virtual Education Opportunities Gallery, and Humanitarian Diplomacy Portal.
