Ballon d'Or 2025 Nominees Announced: Dembele, Bellingham, Yamal, Haaland In Contention

New Delhi: Some of the notable footballers nominated for the Ballon d'Or 2025 include Ousmane Dembele, Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal, and Erling Haaland.

The Ballon d'Or 2025 candidates were unveiled on Thursday, with shortlists for all categories published in stages throughout the afternoon on the official L'Équipe website and app, according to Olympics. com.

The Ballon d'Or, first given in 1956, is both the name of the prize given to the world's greatest male and female footballers and the yearly ceremony that recognizes notable players from throughout the sport.

The event, organized by France Football, now has prizes for young players, goalkeepers, coaches, clubs, and humanitarian effect in addition to the prominent individual awards.
