Muscat: Today, on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, welcomed Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During their discussions, the visiting minister extended the greetings and best wishes of the Egyptian leadership to Oman’s leadership, expressing hopes for continued progress and prosperity for the Omani people. He emphasized the significance that the Egyptian leadership places on the strong relations with Oman across various sectors. The minister also addressed regional developments, highlighting the necessity of collaborative efforts to mitigate their impacts.
HH Sayyid Fahd expressed his warm welcome to the minister and his delegation, reflecting on the evolution of bilateral relations that are rooted in the strong ties between the two nations' leaderships and peoples.
The meeting focused on issues of mutual interest, with an exchange of perspectives on the efforts being made to peacefully resolve regional and international conflicts for the benefit of all nations involved.
In the context of enhancing bilateral cooperation, the discussions highlighted the need to activate the joint committee's functions and to increase consultations on shared interests.
The Egyptian minister praised the Sultanate of Oman for its wise and balanced foreign policy, as well as its proactive role in fostering understanding and constructive dialogue among nations to ensure regional security and stability. He noted the significance of his discussions with Omani officials, which he believes will further strengthen joint cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Khalid Mohammed Abdul Halim Radi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Sultanate of Oman.
