Sayyid Badr Meets Egyptian Counterpart

Muscat: Yesterday, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, welcomed Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the ministry's general diwan.

During their discussions, the ministers highlighted the longstanding and brotherly ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt. They expressed a mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various political, economic, and cultural domains to advance shared interests.

The two officials also exchanged perspectives on several regional and international matters of mutual concern.

Additionally, they addressed the current regional landscape and the rising challenges, particularly focusing on the developments surrounding the Palestinian issue and ongoing ceasefire efforts in the Gaza Strip.

Both parties emphasized the significance of fostering dialogue as a pathway to achieving stability and supporting international initiatives aimed at finding peaceful and sustainable resolutions to conflicts, ensuring security and development for the region's populations, while adhering to the principles of international law and respecting state sovereignty.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, Khalid Mohammed Abdul Halim Radi, the Ambassador of Egypt to Oman, along with several officials from both delegations.
