Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, held a meeting with Oliver Zipes, the CEO of BMW, a renowned German automobile manufacturer, during the Munich Security Conference. The discussion primarily focused on exploring potential partnerships and collaborations in the transportation sector, as well as the transfer of manufacturing and technological knowledge. Additionally, both parties deliberated on ways to enhance smart infrastructure development.
The Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude for the strong and amicable relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Republic of Germany. He emphasized the significance of bolstering economic cooperation and exchanging expertise across various domains.
In response, the CEO of BMW conveyed his keen interest in expanding the company's global presence and fostering collaboration with leading automotive and logistics companies, as well as governments. Furthermore, he expressed BMW's readiness to explore investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman and contribute its expertise and advanced technologies in the realm of luxury and sustainable cars.
