Sayyid Badr Meets Bhutan PM, Foreign Minister, Minister Of External Trade

Thimphu: On Monday, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, held a meeting with Dasho Tshering Tobgay, the Prime Minister of Bhutan, as part of the Foreign Minister's official visit to the country.

During their discussions, both parties evaluated the current state of bilateral cooperation and explored ways to enhance collaboration across various sectors, particularly in economic, trade, and investment areas.

They emphasized the significance of facilitating visits between business leaders and investors from both nations to strengthen economic partnerships.

The ministers also addressed potential cooperation in technology and sustainable energy, aiming to promote sustainable development.

Additionally, the Foreign Minister met with Lyonpo D.N. Dhungyel, Bhutan's Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade. In this meeting, they discussed strategies to improve diplomatic relations between Oman and Bhutan and to provide mutual support on regional and international issues.

The discussions included reviewing cooperation in trade, investment, education, and tourism, as well as identifying opportunities for cultural and knowledge exchange to enhance bilateral ties and improve communication between the two nations.

The meetings were attended by Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), Sheikh Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large, Essa Saleh Al Sheibani, Oman’s Ambassador to India and non-resident Ambassador to Bhutan, along with several officials from the Foreign Ministry.
