Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Muscat, had a phone conversation with David Lammy, the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, last Friday.
During the call, Sayyid Badr extended his congratulations to David Lammy on his new role as Foreign Secretary, expressing his well wishes for his success and emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between their respective countries.
The two ministers delved into discussions regarding the dire humanitarian crisis faced by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories. They highlighted the urgent need for international support to secure an immediate ceasefire, provide essential relief supplies, release prisoners and detainees, and work towards a lasting peace through a two-state solution and recognition of an independent Palestinian state.
