Rummana Returns To Boost Agritourism In Jabal Akhdar

Jabal Al Akhdar: The third edition of the Rummana event began on July 4 in the Wilayat of Jabal Al Akhdar, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.

From July 4 to September 27, Janaen Farm and Seih Qatnah will host a series of immersive experiences and family activities.

The event is organized in collaboration with TePe-Oman, the Agritourism Development Company, and Janaen.

The collaborative efforts aim to promote the idea of sustainable agritourism, empower rural communities, and leverage agricultural possibilities to enhance tourism experiences.

Rummana is a seasonal event that takes place alongside the Jabal Al Akhdar Festival. The event allows guests to experience the thrill of fresh pomegranate, fig, and pear picking during harvest season.

The open theater of the event provides family activities that kids enjoy, and the integrated entertainment corner features a variety of games and a minicar racetrack.

The Farmers Souq is one of the event's most important features, showcasing fresh local produce at Rummana.

Visitors may enjoy local restaurants and coffee shops, which serve a variety of Omani and other cuisines, right at the event location.

The arrangement of the event follows the success of previous Rummana events. The previous season's event drew more than 51,000 attendees and featured 44 participants.

SMEs and the sale of more than 10,000 kilograms of Jabal Al Akhdar produce. The Rummana Event 2025 has the backing of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, the Omran Group, and the strategic partnership of the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, as well as several private sector businesses and establishments.
