Muscat: The Royal Court Affairs, through its Royal Farms and Gardens and Royal Hospitality divisions, is actively involved in the Muscat Flower Festival as part of the Muscat Nights 2024 events. This participation features a captivating and varied exhibition that showcases the splendor of nature alongside the artistic talents of Omani artisans. Attendees can admire an impressive array of both natural and artificial roses, arranged in innovative and eye-catching displays.
At Qurum Natural Park, the Royal Court Affairs highlights the Sultan Qaboos Rose, the Sultan Haitham Rose, and the Lady Sayyida Ahad Rose, while also demonstrating exquisite garden design and implementation. Additionally, the display includes locally cultivated flowers such as tube roses and orchids, which have been meticulously nurtured within the Sultanate of Oman.
The exhibition features a diverse selection of international roses and flowers, prominently showcasing the aromatic O'Hara rose, along with lilies, chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, anthuriums, mattiola, heliconias, and other unique cut flowers, all utilized to create imaginative and appealing designs.
A notable aspect of the display is the presence of large floral sculptures, including a peacock-shaped vase crafted entirely from roses and a rose-adorned crown, among other artistic creations. These pieces exemplify the remarkable creativity of Omani floral designers.
This initiative aims to strengthen the representation of Oman at the Muscat Flower Festival, complemented by the importation of premium rose varieties from esteemed countries such as the Netherlands, Thailand, and various regions in Africa. This enriches the experience for visitors and enhances the event's atmosphere of elegance and beauty. The Royal Court Affairs' involvement underscores its commitment to promoting Omani identity and craftsmanship while celebrating the cultural and natural diversity that the Sultanate of Oman brings to such festivals.
