London: The Royal Cavalry team from Oman emerged as the second-place finishers at the British Open Polo Championship, which took place at the prestigious Aspect Knepp Castle Polo Club.
The tournament saw four teams, including the Royal Cavalry, compete fiercely for the coveted trophy.
The competition was equally intense as the other three teams consisted of the English Aspect Polo Club, the Irish Polo Club, and the Czech Republic Polo Club. The climax of the tournament featured a match-up between the Royal Cavalry and the Irish Club, with the latter team securing a 5-3 victory over their opponents. In recognition of his outstanding performance, Mazin Mohammed Al Zadjali from the Royal Cavalry was awarded the Best Player’s Award at the championship.
The prestigious final match was graced by Badr Mohammed Al Manthri, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
