ROP Arrests 27 Across Oman

Muscat: The law enforcement personnel in the Sultanate of Oman successfully apprehended 27 individuals for various criminal activities in the Muscat region, specifically in Al Dakhiliyah south Al Sharqiyah.

The Royal Oman Police have reported that the Muscat Governorate Police Command has taken action against two individuals of Asian descent for acts of vandalism and theft, including the robbery of jewellery, electronic devices, and personal items from multiple residences within the Wilayats of Bousher and Al Amerat.

Furthermore, the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police have taken measures against eight individuals for the theft of a significant number of refrigerant gas cylinders, which are used in the refilling of air conditioning units.

In a joint operation with the Coast Guard Police Command, the General Department for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances has successfully intercepted three individuals of Asian descent involved in the smuggling of over 30 kilograms of hashish, 19 kilograms of marijuana, and 8 kilograms of crystal meth. Legal proceedings are currently underway.

Additionally, the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command has made arrests of 14 individuals of Asian descent for engaging in gambling activities in Izki. The legal processes against these individuals are progressing.
