Muscat: The naval drill, titled "Asad Al Bahar" or "Sea Lion," scheduled for February 20, 2024, initiated by the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) in the waters of the Sea of Oman, commenced today.
This naval exercise, supported by the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) jets and the Royal Oman Police Coast Guard, is scheduled to conclude on September 26, 2024.
The conduct of this naval drill is part of the Royal Navy of Oman's training plans, designed to maintain the readiness of its fleet and personnel, in accordance with the national responsibilities delegated to it.
