Muscat: The Muscat Municipality has launched an innovative online platform designed to facilitate the process of obtaining or renewing public parking reservations for businesses and institutions. This digital initiative is intended to simplify procedures and enhance operational efficiency.
To avail of this service, companies and institutions are required to submit the following documents and instruments:
- A formally titled request letter to the Parking Management Department of Muscat Municipality, detailing the desired location, number of parking spaces, and duration of the reservation.
- A copy of the commercial register.
- A duplicate of the title deed and a map of the property's area.
- A No Impediment letter from the owner of the building, along with the identity card of the building owner.
The renewal fees for public parking reservations are subject to variation based on the location:
- Locations with parking fees: OMR 50 per parking space per month.
- Locations without parking fees: OMR 30 per parking space per month.
Through the digitization of this process, the Muscat Municipality is committed to reducing administrative paperwork, accelerating the approval process, and enhancing the overall service quality provided to businesses and organizations within the city.
