RAM Launches Leadership Programme

Muscat: In a significant development, The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has officially inaugurated the fourth cohort of the National Programme for Developing Leaders and Future Foresight.

This program is meticulously crafted to empower national leaders, enabling them to adeptly navigate the swiftly changing global landscape in consonance with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

Collaboratively developed with Eller Executive Education at the University of Arizona, this initiative focuses on nurturing essential leadership skills among middle management officials from various sectors of the state's administrative framework.

Forty participants, who will include individuals in positions such as assistant general managers, department directors, assistant directors, and equivalent roles within the state's managerial hierarchy, are set to join the fourth cohort of the program. This six-month program features a structured training pathway comprising five modules, each dedicated to crucial aspects that contribute to the preparation of national leaders, equipping them with vital skills.

The program encompasses a range of skills, including networking and relationship building, understanding the cultural nuances of institutional workplaces, and identifying the key success factors that drive team performance within an organization. This initiative is pivotal in boosting Oman's economy and fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors, thereby enhancing global competitiveness.

Dr. Fathiya Al Rashdi, the Vice President for Programme Affairs at RAM, has underscored the program's mission to improve government systems, thereby ensuring the delivery of enhanced services that meet the changing needs of the public and achieve overarching societal objectives.

Dr. Al Rashdi has further elaborated on the program's aims, highlighting its pivotal role in engendering a significant and enduring transformation in the cognitive and leadership abilities of participants. The program is meticulously designed to instill a transformative mindset among leaders, enhancing self-awareness, behaviors, and the capacity to effectively lead teams.

The educational framework for the fourth cohort of the program adopts a comprehensive, multi-dimensional approach, incorporating accelerator experiences, customized individual and group training sessions, personal interviews, and research projects.

Participants are afforded the support of mentors and supervisors from the private sector, thereby enriching their learning experience. This holistic strategy is strategically crafted to cultivate critical competencies, including a growth mindset, adaptability, agile leadership styles, creative problem-solving, strategic collaboration, effective communication, persuasive abilities, and other essential skills for professional success.
