Muscat: In honor of Prophet Mohammed's Birthday (PBUH), it has been determined that Sunday, September 7th (14 Rabi' Al Awwal 1447 AH) will be observed. It is an official vacation for personnel of state administrative agencies and other legal organizations and private sector institutions.
The Ministry of Labour stated that employers may engage employees on the aforementioned day if required, but must compensate the employees for the holiday.
