Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has stopped an attempt to traffic over 550 kg of narcotics into the Sultanate of Oman.
According to a statement released by the Coast Guard Police under the Dhofar Governorate Police Command, in collaboration with the General Directorate for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, they stopped an attempt to smuggle over 550 kg of narcotics. The operation included three Yemeni men who illegally entered Omani territorial seas on a fishing vessel.
According to the statement, legal action is being taken against them.
