Plan Proposed To Promote Oman's Tourism In Russia

Muscat: Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, had a meeting today with Olga Borisovna Lyubimova, Minister of Culture in the Russian Federation, in his office.

During the meeting, they discussed various aspects of collaboration in the fields of tourism, culture, and heritage. They also explored the idea of organizing B2B meetings and finding ways to enhance cooperation in the museum sector.

Additionally, both parties considered the potential of expanding tourism promotion for the Sultanate of Oman in Russia. This included the establishment of a tourism representation office and exploring opportunities for capacity building and investments.

To facilitate broader cooperation, they agreed to develop a joint executive program that would involve organizing joint meetings and events with relevant private sector companies.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the National Museum and the Russian Ambassador to Oman.
