MUSCAT: Oxy Oman has demonstrated its commitment to In-Country Value (ICV) by entering into new contracts with PCM Muscat LCC and Al Khazain Oilfield Services. These contracts involve the supply of PCP equipment, support services, and fuel generator services. The signing ceremony took place at Oxy Oman's headquarters in Muscat.
The signatories for their respective organizations were Steven Lauver, President and General Manager of Oxy Oman, Felix Meza, Oman Country Manager of PCM Muscat LCC, and Gharib bin Saad al Junaibi, Chairman of Al Khazain Oilfield Services. The ceremony was attended by Abdulkarim al Ghassani, Vice President for Supply Chain at Oxy Oman, and other senior executives.
Oxy Oman's contract with PCM Muscat LCC focuses on the supply of PCP equipment and support services for their operations in Block 53, located in south-central Oman. This contract aligns with the ICV initiative and supports local manufacturing by enabling PCM Muscat to establish a facility in Nizwa. This facility will be responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing PCP systems.
With a capacity to assemble 2500 PCPs per year, the facility in Nizwa will also serve as a distribution center for the pump systems in the region. This not only enhances local manufacturing capabilities but also promotes the growth of the region's economy.
Oxy Oman’s agreement with Al Khazain Oilfield Services for temporary power generator services at Mukhaizna Field highlights the company's dedication to local businesses and operational efficiency. The collaboration with PCM Muscat LCC and Al Khazain Oilfield Services is a testament to Oxy Oman's commitment to fostering economic growth in Oman. Lauver emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in enhancing local manufacturing capabilities and ensuring operational excellence.
