SOUTH AL BATINAH: The South Al Batinah Governorate is poised to elevate its tourism and investment profile with the introduction of ‘Rimal Park,’ a comprehensive eco-tourism venue that will feature an innovative open-air cinema. Situated at Al Abyadh Sand in Khabat Al Qa’adan, within the Wilayat of Nakhal, the park is designed to provide visitors with a distinctive combination of natural splendor and contemporary facilities.

At the heart of this ambitious initiative is a 7,806 square meter open-air cinema area, which will have the capacity to host up to 2,000 attendees. This outdoor theater promises to deliver a memorable movie experience beneath the stars, enveloped by the stunning natural surroundings.

Beyond the cinema, the park will include a 24,814 square meter entertainment zone divided into five main sections, offering a diverse array of recreational options suitable for all age groups.

Covering an area of 225,000 square meters, Rimal Park is strategically positioned near the primary route linking Muscat to North Al Batinah, ensuring convenient access for visitors. The park will also feature camping facilities, an equestrian school, and various initiatives aimed at fostering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the area.

Masoud bin Saeed Al Hashimi, the Governor of South Al Batinah, highlighted that this project signifies a major investment opportunity and aspires to transform the region into a leading eco-tourism hub. The park’s prime location, along with its varied attractions, is anticipated to attract both domestic and international tourists.

In alignment with Oman Vision 2040, the Rimal Park initiative emphasizes sustainable development and economic diversification. The project is expected to create job opportunities, invigorate local businesses, and contribute to the economic advancement of the governorate. With an estimated value of OMR6.9 million, the project is projected to be completed within a two-year timeframe.

Rimal Park embodies South Al Batinah’s dedication to establishing distinctive environmental destinations that harmoniously integrate modern entertainment with the region’s rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural landscapes.
