Muscat: The Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) will hold an extraordinary General Assembly (GA) meeting for 2025 next Sunday at the JW Marriott Hotel – Al Irfan, presided over by Khalid Mohammed Al Zubair, the OOC President.
The agenda for this meeting includes the establishment and approval of the electoral committees, which consist of the Elections Committee and the Appeals Committee, for the upcoming electoral term spanning 2025 to 2028. Furthermore, the revised election regulations will be ratified, and the date for the OOC electoral General Assembly meeting will be determined.
In addition, the OOC Board of Directors will convene for its first meeting of the year on Sunday. This meeting will focus on approving the minutes from the previous meeting held on September 11, 2024, reviewing the final accounts for the fiscal year ending in 2024, examining the auditor’s report, and discussing the budget for the current year, 2025.
The agenda will also cover the latest developments regarding Oman’s hosting of the 3rd GCC Beach Games, which are set to occur in Muscat from April 5 to 11, 2025. The selection of the mission director for the Omani delegation at the event will be a key topic, along with updates on the progress of the Oman Olympic Museum development project.
The first meeting of the Board of Directors for the year will conclude with a review of the annual report detailing the activities of the Oman Olympic Committee for 2024, the approval of the committee’s programs and activities for 2025, and discussions on various matters under “Any Other Business.”
