Muscat: A resident has been apprehended for engaging in the unlawful hunting of an Arabian gazelle within the Wilayat of Thumrait, located in the Dhofar Governorate.
The Environment Authority (EA) issued a statement regarding the incident, stating: "The Environment Authority in the Dhofar Governorate has successfully apprehended an individual who has contravened wildlife protection laws by hunting an Arabian gazelle in the Wilayat of Thumrait. Legal proceedings are currently underway."
The Authority is appealing to all citizens to collaborate in the conservation and protection of wildlife, as well as to comply with environmental regulations and statutes to prevent legal repercussions.
