OMR4 Million Pact Inked To Invest In Lands Of OOC, Sports Associations

Muscat: An agreement was signed on Sunday between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Company to invest in the lands of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) and Omani sports associations and federations. 

The agreement involves constructing facilities near the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher on an 18,000 square meter area at a cost of OMR4 million. 

This initiative is part of the Ministry's strategy to identify investment opportunities that can ensure financial sustainability for sports associations and federations, in collaboration with the OOC and the Sports Activities Fund. 

The project will include commercial, entertainment, and service facilities to benefit the local community and visitors, showcasing Oman's architectural heritage. 

Additionally, the project will feature a fuel filling station powered by renewable energy, electric car charging stations, a world-class vehicle service center, and modern office spaces for potential investors in Muscat, the capital city. 

The agreement was signed by Basil Ahmed Al Rowas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports, and Eng. Hamad Salim Al Maghdari, CEO of Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Company.
