Muscat: In an effort to strengthen economic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Oman’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, convened with a visiting trade delegation from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The discussions focused on several strategic initiatives aimed at fostering cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, the ambassador highlighted the significance of pursuing Gulf integration and stressed the necessity of effectively promoting the Sultanate. He proposed organizing forums and meetings for major manufacturers whose products are currently absent from the Saudi market, asserting that such initiatives would enhance trade relations and boost Omani exports.
The dialogue also underscored the need for unified efforts among various governmental and private entities, as well as collaboration with the embassy to elevate the profile of the Sultanate and its regions. The ambassador noted that these collaborative efforts would facilitate the establishment of strategic partnerships that are vital for the growth of the national economy.
As the meeting concluded, participants concentrated on key sectors and suggested the creation of digital platforms for marketing and promoting these areas. The importance of forming clusters in specific industries, such as manufacturing, real estate development, and food security, was also emphasized. It was decided to organize smaller seminars to showcase available services and engage peers in addressing shared challenges.
The delegation expressed their willingness to partner with Saudi companies in the realms of innovation and technology, which would enhance competitiveness and support sustainable development.
