Oman's 11th National Research Award: A Celebration Of Innovation

Muscat: The 11th edition of Oman's National Research Award has attracted considerable attention, with 274 participants competing for accolades. This year's entrants include 167 individuals holding PhDs and 107 emerging researchers.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation is set to reveal the winners during the annual Researchers' Forum on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Oman Across Ages Museum.

Key Highlights of the Award:

Categories: Best Published Research for both PhD holders and emerging researchers.

Research Sectors: Education and Human Resources, Information and Communication Systems, Health and Community Service, Energy and Industry, Culture and Basic and Social Sciences, as well as Environment and Biological Resources.

Researchers' Forum: A Venue for Innovation and Collaboration

The annual Researchers' Forum serves as an essential platform for researchers to:

Stay informed about the latest research developments.

Share knowledge and experiences.

Propose innovative research projects.

Exhibit their research endeavors.

Key Activities at the Forum:

Execution of Research Agreements: The forum will feature the execution of research agreements pertaining to the Strategic Research Projects Program and the Performance-Based Institutional Funding Program.

Workshops: Two workshops will concentrate on the contributions of institutions in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as the process an innovator undergoes from concept to execution.

Exhibition: An exhibition will highlight award-winning research projects and innovative initiatives from a diverse group of researchers.
