Omani Youth Learn To Keep Pace With Digital Economy

Muscat: The Master's Programme in Leadership and Management, organized by the Royal Academy of Management, has successfully concluded.

The primary objective of this course is to equip young national professionals with the necessary scientific and practical skills to thrive in the digital economy, which is driven by innovation.

The programme utilized the latest blended online learning methods to deliver its curriculum. Graduates of the Master's Programme in Leadership and Management included department heads and similar positions within the state's administrative apparatus. These individuals completed the third and final educational course offered by the Thunderbird College of Global Management at Arizona State University in the United States.

Participants in the programme had the opportunity to explore international experiences and gain a global perspective in various fields, such as leadership, management, innovation, strategies, public policy analysis, and agile government. The programme stood out for its diverse implementation methods.

In addition to the academic and cognitive component provided by the university, the Academy was committed to incorporating other elements to ensure a comprehensive and high-quality programme. This included combining scientific knowledge with mental development, enhancing leadership skills and capabilities, and managing processes to foster change and promote innovative thinking.

The economic landscape was a key focus during the implementation of the third educational course of the Master's Programme in Leadership and Management at Arizona State University. The course featured sessions presented by esteemed speakers, who discussed pivotal topics such as partnerships between the public and private sectors and their role in driving innovation and technological progress. These sessions included numerous cases and examples that highlighted the importance of the economic landscape.

In addition to the economic landscape, the sessions also covered topics related to economic success, modern manufacturing mechanisms, and the integration of public and private efforts. The aim was to revitalize the economy and attract investments from technology giants. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about a project that utilizes modern technology to make a global impact and develop communication applications that enrich people's lives.

The sessions also emphasized the adoption of smart technologies for urban growth and economic progress. The focus was on collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors, technological advancements, and innovative initiatives that contribute to flexible and sustainable economic growth.

Furthermore, the learning trip included visits to various institutions in the United States, where participants witnessed the direct impact of innovative strategies in different fields such as social development, healthcare, climate adaptation, and more.

During the course, participants also worked on group projects related to digital transformation. These projects aimed to generate innovative ideas that align with the requirements of the new economy in the Sultanate of Oman.

The self-employment sector system is being developed alongside the creative cultural industries sector, the government digital transformation program, the project to establish the social health insurance program, and the internal and external communication strategies in the "Invest in Oman" hall.
