Muscat: Today, the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen had political consultation talks in Muscat.
Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, led the Omani delegation, while Dr. Mansour Ali Bajash, Undersecretary of the Foreign Affairs Ministry for Political Affairs, headed the Yemeni team.
During the session, the two parties examined bilateral ties and explored ways to improve collaboration in the fields of economy and commerce, as well as issues pertaining to travel and communication between the two nations.
The two groups also discussed the recent developments in the Yemeni crisis and looked for ways to revive the peace process, with the goal of reaching a fair and complete settlement that benefits all sides without exception. They also discussed regional topics of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed Hashil Al Maskari, Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Regional Neighborhood Department at the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Khaled Saleh Shateef, Yemen's accredited ambassador to Oman, and other officials from both nations.
