In London, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, convened a meeting today with David Lammy, the British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.
The discussion focused on the historical ties and the strategic partnership that exists between Oman and the United Kingdom. Both Sayyid Badr and David Lammy expressed their commitment to enhancing and supporting the ongoing collaboration across various sectors of mutual interest. They highlighted the significance of the Oman-UK Strategic Consultation Team.
Additionally, the two officials exchanged perspectives on regional and global issues, emphasizing the necessity of strengthening diplomacy, dialogue, and international cooperation to tackle current challenges, thereby fostering security and stability for all nations.
They also reiterated the importance of collaborative efforts to address crises and advance peace and sustainable development through multilateral initiatives and effective partnerships.
The meeting was attended by Badr Mohammed Al Mantheri, Oman’s Ambassador to the UK, Liane Saunders, the UK Ambassador to Oman, along with several officials from both nations.
