Oman, Türkiye Sign MoU In Higher Education Field

Ankara: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Turkey have formalized their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering cooperation across various sectors of higher education.

This MoU encompasses a comprehensive range of agreements, including the exchange of scholarships, mutual recognition of higher education institutions, and the facilitation of knowledge transfer. Furthermore, it outlines the organization of various educational events such as training courses, seminars, symposiums, conferences, forums, and research studies.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, the Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, alongside Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, the President of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey.

In parallel, representatives from both nations engaged in a series of discussions. The deliberations resulted in several recommendations, among which were the enhancement of scholarship opportunities and student exchange programs between the two countries, among other strategic initiatives.
