Muscat: The inaugural edition of the Oman Endowment Conference is scheduled to commence on the 16th of December at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. This two-day event is dedicated to showcasing innovation and sustainability within the realm of endowments.
During a press conference, Abdulaziz bin Masoud Al Ghafri, the Assistant Director General of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, articulated the objectives of the conference. He emphasized that the event is designed to foster innovative and sustainable solutions that align with the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040.
Al Ghafri further highlighted the conference's aim to empower endowment institutions to spearhead development efforts and reinforce the significance of endowments as a potent instrument for bolstering the national economy.
Regarding the conference's lineup, Eng. Mohammed bin Salim Al Busaidi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Bausher Endowment Foundation, disclosed that it will feature participation from over 20 local and international experts. He also mentioned that the event will be enriched with specialized workshops aimed at equipping endowment sector professionals with essential practical skills and knowledge. These include sessions on "Governance, Performance Indicators, Risk Management, and Compliance in the Endowment Sector (GPRC)" and "Contemporary Endowment Investment," in addition to "Measuring Social Return on Investment."
It is important to note that the organization of this conference is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and the Bausher Endowment Foundation.
