Muscat: The Environment Authority (EA) announced that the issuance of permits for the export, import, and re-export of all shark species and their derivatives will be halted for three months, beginning on April 24, 2025.
The Environment Authority has declared a three-month suspension on the issuance of permits for the export, import, and re-export of all shark species and their parts, effective from April 24, 2025. This action is being implemented due to environmental concerns associated with evaluating the status of sharks in the waters of the Sultanate of Oman.
