Oman, Somalia Explore Means Of Enhancing Cooperation In Livestock Field

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, in collaboration with the Federal Republic of Somalia, has been exploring avenues to enhance cooperation within the livestock sector.

This initiative was initiated following the reception of Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, by Hassan Hussein Mohamed, Minister of Livestock, Forestry and Range of Somalia, during Mohamed's visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting addressed a wide range of topics, including the exchange of expertise and information related to food security and safety, as well as the exploration of opportunities to increase investments and trade exchanges.

Furthermore, on the occasion of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was established in the domain of livestock and associated activities. This agreement also aims to foster cooperation in the areas of importing and exporting livestock between the two nations.
